The characteristics of graphite materials such as graphite blocks of our company are:
(1) high temperature resistance: the melting point of graphite is 3850±50 ° C, even after ultra-high temperature arc burning, the weight loss is small, and has a small coefficient of thermal expansion. As the temperature increases, the strength of graphite increases, and at 2000 ° C, its strength is doubled.
(2) electrical and thermal conductivity: compared with general non-metals, graphite has more than 100 times the electrical conductivity, and its thermal conductivity exceeds steel, iron, lead and other metal materials. As the temperature increases, the thermal conductivity decreases, and even becomes an insulator at extremely high temperatures. This is because in graphite each carbon atom forms only three covalent bonds, retaining one free electron to transport the charge.
(3) lubricity: the lubrication performance of graphite depends on the size of the scale, the larger the scale, the smaller the coefficient of friction, the better the lubrication effect.
(4) Chemical stability: at room temperature, graphite shows good chemical stability and can resist the corrosion of acids, bases and organic solvents.
