Product Description

Fine Particle Extruded Graphite Materials
Product Description

Our ME series rods and blocks are manufactured using extruded graphite, a manufacturing process that results in graphite rods and blocks with small grains, excellent mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties, and low ash content. Extruded graphite manufacturing allows us to control the size and shape of the grains, which improves the strength and stability of the bar.

In addition, our ME series rods and blocks exhibit a distinct preferred grain orientation. This means that we are able to align the grains in a specific direction and maintain consistency during the production process. This preferred grain orientation not only increases the mechanical properties of the bars but also improves their electrical and thermal conductivity.

To further increase density, strength, and oxidation resistance, we impregnate our ME series bars during production. Impregnation is the process whereby a prepared base is immersed in a liquid or solution and subjected to a process such as drying or curing to improve its physical, chemical, or mechanical properties. Through impregnation, we can fill the pores and increase the bonding between the substance and the base body, thus improving the density, strength, and oxidation resistance of the rods and blocks.

Product Features

Graphite blocks, as a type of graphite material, possess a range of remarkable product characteristics.

Exceptional Processability: They can be easily shaped and processed to meet a variety of manufacturing requirements.
Low Density: Compared to metals, graphite has a lower density, making it highly machinable.

High Thermal Stability: In an inert atmosphere, it can withstand operating conditions of up to 3,000 degrees Celsius and beyond.
Low Thermal Expansion: Graphite maintains dimensional stability even when exposed to rapid temperature fluctuations.

Outstanding Chemical Resistance: At room temperature, graphite demonstrates excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.

Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Its remarkable thermal conductivity makes it an ideal choice for applications like heating elements.

Additional Exceptional Properties: SHJ's graphite blocks also exhibit qualities such as high strength, ultra-purity, corrosion resistance, low resistance, and long-term stability.

Applications

The application of extruded graphite materials spans the following areas:

  1. When it comes to refractories, the high-temperature and high-strength characteristics of graphite and its products make it primarily used in the metallurgical industry to produce graphite crucibles.
  2. In terms of conductive materials, the electrical industry utilizes graphite as a raw material for electrode manufacturing. For wear-resistant lubrication materials, graphite finds extensive use in the manufacturing of parts such as piston cups, seals, and bearings, which operate without the need for additional lubricating oil.
  3. Because of its chemical stability, graphite is widely used in corrosion-resistant fields such as the petroleum and metallurgical industries. It serves as a preferred material for centrifugal pumps and other equipment in the pump or sealing material.
  4. Graphite components come in handy for various industrial furnaces.
  5. In electrolytic plates, graphite has found widespread application in the chemical industry, sewage treatment, and seawater treatment industry.
