In the carbon industry, the largest volume of production is a variety of manufactured graphite products, like graphite materials. Typically, these man-made graphite products are manufactured using roasted tar and pitch, which can be easily converted to the graphite state, as raw materials through a series of processes such as batching, mixing, molding, high-temperature treatment, and machining. Graphite materials used in the chemical industry, for example, are mainly manufactured from artificial graphite, which, due to its porous nature, is often impregnated to make it impermeable and at the same time to enhance its physical properties in order to increase its strength significantly.

Our graphite blocks and other graphite materials have the following characteristics:
High temperature resistance: the melting point of graphite is as high as 3850±50ºC, even after ultra-high temperature arc burning, its weight loss is very small, and the coefficient of thermal expansion is also very low. As the temperature rises, the strength of graphite is gradually enhanced, and its strength can even be doubled at 2000ºC.
Electrical and thermal conductivity: graphite's electrical conductivity is a hundred times higher than that of general non-metallic minerals. Its thermal conductivity also exceeds that of steel, iron, lead and other metal materials. However, as the temperature rises, its thermal conductivity decreases. At very high temperatures, graphite can even become adiabatic. Graphite is able to conduct electricity because each carbon atom forms only three covalent bonds with other carbon atoms, but still retains one free electron for charge transfer.
Lubricity: The lubricity of graphite is closely related to the size of its scales. The larger the scale, the smaller the coefficient of friction and the better the lubricating property.
Chemical stability: at room temperature, graphite shows good chemical stability and can resist corrosion by acids, alkalis and organic solvents.
