The main reason for the damage of the graphite rotor for aluminum smelting is high temperature oxidation. The main component of graphite is carbon. Graphite will be oxidized in an air condition of more than 600ºC. The service life of the graphite rotor after anti-oxidation treatment will increase by 3-4 times compared with ordinary products. Before immersing the graphite rotor in the aluminum liquid, preheat about 100mm above the liquid surface for 5min~10min; before the rotor is immersed in the liquid, the gas must be introduced; the gas supply can be stopped after the rotor raises the liquid level.
